If you need a new miter saw you should definitely consider purchasing either the Dewalt DW715 or Dewalt DW716 model, both of which are fantastic saws. Both the DW715 and DW716 models are perfect for cross cuts, miters, framing, and crown molding. There are significant differences between the two, which I’ll quickly run through to give you a better idea of which model is the best. Comparing the Dewalt DW715 Vs DW716 is something you will want to fully understand before deciding which saw to purchase.
The DW715 has a higher RPM rate which results in a quicker, more powerful cutting-rate than that of the DW716. Although the DW716 has a slower RPM rate, it is still capable of making the necessary cuts on even the hardest of woods such as oak and mahogany. The DW715 is capable of cutting crown molding only up to 5 1/4 inches while the DW716 is capable of cutting crown molding up to 6 5/8 inches. The DW716 allows more variability of measurement when cutting crown molding. The DW716 weighs 2 pounds more than the DW715, which is really a small difference and does not make it any more difficult to carry or transport than the DW715. One important feature of the DW716, is that it is a double bevel saw, while the DW715 is only a single bevel saw.

Based on the differences between the two saws, I recommend the Dewalt DW716 over the Dewalt DW715. The biggest difference between the two saws is that the DW716 is a double bevel saw while the DW715 is only a single bevel. The double bevel prevents the operator from having to flip his work over and reset the cutting angles. This saves a lot of time and simplifies the entire cutting process. The DW716 is more time-efficient than the DW715. Because of the double bevel feature, the Dewalt DW716 is superior to the Dewalt DW715.
