It is never a pleasant chore when you have to vacuum, especially if you have a large home, pets, children, the list goes on and on. Lugging around a canister vacuum is not an option and some of those uprights are heavy and you constantly have to pick them up and maneuver them around, and sometimes even move furniture just to get in between. Ugh! Lets take the back pain out of vacuuming and look at two of the most popular. Which one is the best? Let’s look at the Dyson DC41 vs DC40.
Dyson DC 41
When measured against the other leading brands like Shark, Hoover and Eureka, the Dyson has 160 air watts, which is a lot of suction compared to second place Eureka which comes in at 78.5 air watts. Add to that Auto adjustment for different floors and this is looking like a winner. This vacuum has the only tangle free turbine tool on the market today, so pull out this handy little tool and get rid of pet hair and deep embedded dirt. The DC41 goes through rigorous testing including dropping it over 1,000 times, which leads to Dyson proudly proclaiming a 10 year life on this vacuum. All Dyson’s comes with a 5 year warranty, and a never change Hepa filter. So lets take a look at the DC40 and see which is best.
This is Dyson’s original ball upright, like the DC41 it has ease of use, rides smoothly and gets around objects better than a traditional vacuum. The DC40 has 160 air watts, and a quick to get to wand for cleaning above ground level. Another innovative feature is the fact that it is not only lightweight but it captures allergens and replaces it with clean air! The DC40 is a little lighter, with just a small difference in the bin capacity, and a few feet of difference in the reach. So it really all comes down to preference, as Dyson will warranty either of these for 5 years. So if you have problems with pet hair, the DC41 is probably for you and if you have anyone in the household that suffer from asthma or allergies, then the DC40 is probably a better fit. Either way you can’t go wrong with a Dyson.
